Background
Heavy industry in our country has been making an exodus for years. Low overseas labor costs and lack of reinvestment in many of America's manufacturing plants that are currently labor intensive has moved much of our work overseas. The high standard of living of American Citizens demands that we modernize our plants by investing in technology so that a high-paid craftsman can produce more products. The goal is high wages and high productivity. High productivity means modern manufacturing methods that mass produce quality products with little human labor required and high quality delivered. Don Smith of the Smith Family founded DONSCO Inc. in 1906. His Company has been reinvesting in sophisticated heavy machinery for years to enable DONSCO Craftsmen to mass produce quality products. When American Family Traditions visited the foundry in Wrightsville, we saw hard-working Americans working in a "state of the art" automated foundry. Parts were being manufactured for both American and foreign companies! The people we saw were professional and they all cared about quality. We at American Family Traditions are honored to offer our cast aluminum American Eagles poured, blasted and painted in Pennsylvania by the proud men and women of DONSCO Inc and distributed by The John Wright Company.
